They are similar because they both have a rich guy(guys) who knows their deepest secrets and in the end become very reliable.

While Hikari considers Kei her special friend and most importantly her rival, Kei is secretly in love with her. Leroy Douresseaux found the character of Takumi unconvincing, describing him as a "cheap plot trick" to rescue Misaki when needed. Misaki dominates in strength and academics, but she has a secret: she works at a maid cafe (which is exactly what it sounds like unless you think that it’s a cover for prostitution, which I would imagine is sometimes the case but is not here). His family doesn't want him to do any part-time jobs because they fear that him being an illegitimate child will be exposed.

This was the very first manga I have ever read and the one that got me into reading many other mangas afterwards. Misaki has to see Usui being forced to transfer to a prestigious rival school Miabigaoka, and then away from Japan completely when his family takes him back to England. Just as Misaki's and Usui's teams are about to be disqualified, Tora suggests that the remaining team members become one, and Misaki passes the gender test by grabbing Usui's hand and planting it on her flat chest, tricking everyone into thinking she is a boy. And let's not forget the great drawings made by Junmi: the drawings of the characters by her were great, it brought a big smile on my face :) They were genious!

During the end of festival bonfire, Takumi finds Misaki resting under a tree, asking why she didn't go. no matter how many times, i will always be there for you, i will make you fall for me over, and over again. The FL is very stuborn, stric and denies her feelings for the ML for as long as possible, even though with time they become obvious. After confirming Kūga is serious about Sakura, Kūga wonders why Misaki hasn't accepted Takumi as her boyfriend.

Literally, as, in addition to the main ship, which is quite shiny, there are awesome ships for the secondary characters.

If you love affectionate, protective, sexy men (who always show up at the right time), and shoujo-y, tsundere, adorable girls, you will love these.

But there’s more to this grouchy caretaker than meets the eye as in reality he is the Daisy who has been watching over Teru for all this time! Maybe she should start taking him seriously when he says he likes her—especially when he throws in an unexpected kiss! Once Misaki comes out and sees him, Takumi is promptly told by her to go home until a frantic Satsuki arrives, telling them the kitchen helper won't be able to make it. One day, after accidentally breaking a window at school, Teru meets the rude school janitor, Tasuku Kurosaki, who insists she work off the cost of repairing the damage. This is one of the first mangas I read, and despite reading and watching several other series, it's still one of my favorites. This series was serialized in Hakusensha's shōjo manga magazine LaLa, from December 24, 2005 to September 24, 2013.
